| The Tibetan mandala is created by Buddhist monks. They start working on the floor based ‘carpet’ of the mandala design and present it to Buddha on his birthday. Two days later the mandala is destroyed but its contents (rice, powders, grains etc) are respectfully introduced to the Himalayan rivers as an environmentally friendly outcome which also feeds the fish.
